Mom's, How to increase milk supply

Mom's, How to increase milk supply

Mothers milk is ever best food to baby until one year. Many mother face lack of breast milk.

Here are some of tops based on my personal experience.
1 Stop eating fermented food such as Idly, Dosa, Bread and pizza etc...
These foods are not good for your baby. Fermented food can cause gas to baby.
You can eat this food but very occasionally.

2 Fiber, such as Fiber food such as Methi(Fengureek)leaves, spinach, oatmeal, etc.

3 Moong daal, it is light lentil to digest to you and your baby.

4 Avoid Toor daal and Chana daal which can cause acidity to you and gas trouble to baby.

5 Eat calcium food such as dairy products, add clarified butter (ghee) to your food. Clarified butter have fat but it will never harm you.
Eating clarified butter dose doesn't mean that you will gain weight or add fat to your body.

6 Add one or two cloves of garlic to your curry, This will help you to add test to your food and help your baby with gas and cold and spitting out trouble.

7 Add more enough fluid to your daily diet. Three to four glass of milk, eight to nine glass of water, two to three glass of freshly made fruit juices,
can help you too.

8 Eat Laddu's(Sweet ball) made from dry-fruits,jaggery and ghee (clarified butter)

9 Soak four to five almonds overnight and have them with a cup of milk in morning. You can also soak them all day and have it at night just before go to bed.

10 Doctors says In early morning 2 am to 4 am is a peak time when your body produce more milk. you can pump it out at this time that can help you to produce more milk in a day.

11 Beast option suggested by doctors is just feed feed feed.... Feeding and pumping are good option to increase milk supply. Because of feeding and pumping your breast get empty. Empty breast produces more milk.

12 Never get stressed that your baby is not having enough milk.
you can always consult your doctor. or Lactation experts are there to help you with this.

13 You can find stores or milk bank where milk given by mothers are stored to sell. You can buy from them and feed you baby.

Breast Pump

Breast Pump

First of all, Breast pump are covered in almost all Health Insurance. You need to check with your service provider.
There are many brands available in market like Medela, Ameda, Lanshinoh, Evenflo etc....
But my experience with Medela advanced backpack electric breast-pump was good.

What all it has?
1 It has Four Milk storage bottle with lid
2 One storage bag with gel
3 pumping kit.
4 It has two pump for each breast. so you can pump milk at same time.

It has different suction levels. It is up to you, how hard suction you are comfortable with. you can buy replacement parts and other accessories for cheap.

Manual Breast-pumps are cheaper then electric one.

Breast pump helps you In engorgement.

Right after birth of baby some women have trouble to latch at breast, sometime your
baby might be creepy and cranky because of hunger. That time this pump may help you and your baby a lot.

Giving milk by bottle might not make sense to you or your parents, but it is a good option to feed your baby milk time to time instead of keeping him hungry. Especially, when they are in learning stage.

If you are working, travelling you can store milk in bottle and someone can feed baby time to time.
